Well it's taken a while to get this blog started. For the last two weeks we've been staying at State Parks and have had sketchy internet service. So here goes...
Day 1 - Thursday, August 16 - Dickinson, TX to Kinder, LA - always our first stop when heading east. We love this RV park...and the gambling too! This RV park is the standard by which all RV parks should be.
Day 2 - Friday, August 17 - Kinder, LA to Bay St. Louis, MS - another of our favorite spots...and the gambling too! Another great RV park.
Day 3 - Saturday, August 18 - Bay St. Louis, MS to Meridian, MS - Benchmark Coach and RV Park. Just an overnight spot on our way to Red Bay. Good park for a stopover.
Day 4 - Sunday, August 19 - Meridian, MS to Red Bay, AL - for RV repairs at the service center where our motorhome was built. What an awesome setup. But these guys get in no hurry!
Day 5 - Monday, August 20 - Red Bay, AL - we spent the day here at Red Bay while our MH was in the bay. Here's how the process works. At 7:00 am you leave your overnight site and head to a specific bay where your RV repairs are taken care of. Then at 3:00 you leave the bay and go back to your RV site. And you do the same process every day till your work is complete. Here are a few pics of the RV site.
This is our motorhome
Day 6 - Tuesday, August 21 - Today I left Larry with the MH and I headed to Florence, AL for some "retail" therapy!!
Day 7 - Wednesday, August 22 - Again today, I left Larry with the MH and I headed to Iuka, MS. Some of the sites I visited:
Tishmingo State Park
Swinging Bridge at Tishmingo SP

Well that's week No. 1. Nothing too exciting, but the weather was good and hot.
